Sophia recently called my attention to a mandala sand painting being created at the Asia Society as a gift from the Tibetan Buddhist monks of Drepung Loseling Monestary. The mandala commemorates the events of September 11th, and honors His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who will receive the Human Rights Award from the International League for Human Rights on September 19th.
